Written from the perspective of Ron Vara, the fake name that Peter Navarro used as a reference in a book called "Death by China". Navarro is Trump's high priest for tariffs, and much of what is currently going on, lies at his door.

with each it’s own face

And depending on the day

I chose the one to embrace

Outside I use the name Navarro

That’s how I’ve been known

My real name is Ron Vara

The power behind the throne

I’m the one who has his ear

And who plotted Liberation Day

The architect of Trump’s tariffs

China will learn the hard way

Decided to reveal myself

When I wrote a book

Called it, “Death by China”

Let Navarro off the hook

It was really all Ron Vara

The one who’s in control

Years in the background

Trade advisor was my goal

As I stated in advance

I’m a man of many faces

Now that I can quote myself

Just need to cover my bases

It could be Nero Taper

Mixing letters in a name

Or maybe Taver Paven

Trying to stake a claim

It was definitely not Pete Navarro

Who was the one who wrote
