A Quiet Man

So much for an independent Federal Reserve
A Quiet Man
My friends call me Jerry
Some call me Mr Chair
If it wasn’t already so
He would turn gray my hair
I’m a reserved and quiet man
Try to stay in my lane
By nature restrained
But attacked by a man insane
Is it only just me
What can’t others see
I’m treated like the enemy
But I was his appointee
He enjoys to belittle
And behaves so smug
No sense of decency
He’s a bully and a thug
Called a stupid person
A real dummy, Mr Too Late
Also a stubborn mule
All to cut the Fed Funds rate
He shows off a diploma
From an Ivy League school
Unclear if he went to class
Another educated fool
What possibly can I do
To make him understand
Claims to be so very smart
But his head in the sand
He’s as slow as a mule
How ever did this fool
Con his way to Wharton
A degree from the school
He was daddy’s boychik
From what I know
A racist, entitled, spoiled
Exposed on a reality show
He’s in over his head
This is just plain idiocy
His version of economics
It’s all just Greek to me
His business record
Is not very sound
How many companies
Has he run to the ground
Clear he’s not the brains
Behind this operation
Others have his ear
On a road to stagflation
I look in disdain
How do you explain
A man so mundane
A man so inhumane
And It’s my opinion
that he is deficient
So full of himself
And so full of shit
He wants to lower rates
His tactic is to malign
Disparage and call names
Seeking to make me resign
As the saying goes
Fools rush in and he is
Clearly over his head
Where angels fear to tread
This is a strange affair
I won’t be his fall guy
And I will only walk away
When pigs are able to fly
With his Wall Street cronies
Made his big beautiful bill
Gave those who struggle
A bitter, poison pill
He should stick to the things
That he can comprehend
Like his friendship with Epstein
He’s a fair weather friend
He is sleazy and tasteless
Made the Oval Office look cheap
Vulgar, garish and tasteless
And as you sow, you shall reap
So how did this happen
Run that by me again
A great country in trouble
And now run by a conman
